Reporting and anchoring
My path at KOMU-8
The last three years I’ve spent learning and working at KOMU 8-TV in Columbia, MO. The station serves as the NBC affiliate for the Columbia-Jefferson City DMA (134) and as learning lab for students — the main reason I came to Mizzou. I started immediately as a news PA and began to work my way up. By the end of my freshman year I was anchoring the morning sports shows and reporting news on Tuesday mornings. Those foundational experiences allowed me to travel around the country following the Tigers to Massachusetts, Nashville, and March and other cities. I also serve as one of our Weekend sports anchors, producing and anchoring the 5 and 10 p.m newscasts on Sundays. Whether it’s play-by-play or reporting, I love storytelling and working as a reporter and anchor at KOMU 8 I’ve been blessed to tell the stories of local athletes and the Missouri Tigers. MIZ!
